Chapter 5 - Programming
5.1. Overview

This chapter serves as reference to the software developer wanting to utilize the extended print capabilities of CSS. It covers descriptions to unique features such as document embedded control (inclusion of lpr(U) options within the print file) as well as devices independent programming through the use of the CSS hypothetical printer model.

Important!

In order to maintain backward compatibility to previous CSS versions, the C interface css_fstat remains supported. Since starting with Release 2.7, extended form ids are supported, the new module css_formstat takes its place.
