Synopsis

CssNTSrv [-i][-u]

Platforms

Windows NT

Description

CssNTSrv is the NT service process that controls the WinCss graphical interface program as well as output to all CSS printers (as does the lpd despooler on Unix systems). The program is automatically started at boot time.

Options

-i

Installs the program as Windows NT service. Normally this is done during the Setup process. The name shown in the Control Panel Services Applet is CssNT.

-u Stops the service program and removes its entry from the Windows NT service manager.

Notes

If you encounter errors during CssNT operation, you should start the NT Event Viewer and check the Application Log for software messages. Information may also be found in the file lib\CssErrlog.txt.

If CssNT fails to operate correctly, use the Services Applet in the Control Panel to check if the CssNT process is active. This service can be started manually if nescessary.

On Unix systems the functionality of CssNTSrv is implemented in the programs cssws and lpd.
